Photo restoration, photo repair and retouching service based in Rustington, West Sussex,UK. How it works.
Use my contacts page and fill out the form with as much information, of what you are looking to have done.
You can send me your photo once i have replied. I will review your requests and get back to you with a price.
When the work has been completed, a small watermarked copy of your photo will be sent to you to approve.
If you’re happy with your final image and the changes that have been made.
You then proceed to the payments page to complete your order.
When full payment is received , your full size restored photograph will be emailed back to you.
If you cannot send your photo by email, you can post it to me, but you will need to send it by recorded delivery in a stiff envelope and also provide a prepaid returns envelope.
But please contact me first, before doing this.
SCANNING
Make sure that your scanners glass is clean from dust and fingerprints as these will show up on your finished scan.
Check your scanners manual to see how it works, as not all scanners have the same layout and settings.
In your scanners software select the following. At least 300 – 600 dpi/ppi.
Please make sure that when scanning, all scanner enhancements are switched off or unselected.
Also make sure it is set to colour, even for black and white photo’s.
Save it to your computer as a Jpeg, Raw, Tiff file at the lowest compression possible.
DIGITAL CAMERA
Another method which is used alot when using rare documents and photographs, is to use your digital camera.
Place the photograph on a flat surface in good light with a plain background preferably white or black, turn the flash off and take a few photographs at the cameras highest resolution and in colour mode.
When you have done this you can transfer them to your computer and select the best one to send.
SERVICE AND PRICING
I have been asked to remove one spot from a persons face, to restoring a photo which took 2 weeks to restore, with research of missing parts.

Remember as much information as possible is needed.
Once received, i will inspect your image to see if the changes you requested are possible.
I may ask for further information regarding the restoration via email or phone.
All work undertaken will be priced individually. A quote will be given in response to your request.
Prices will be quoted for the completion of the job.
I do not charge an hourly rate although some work is more time consuming than others which will increase the cost.
